The Deepsea Challenge marks a historic milestone as the first Rolex to be crafted entirely from RLX titanium. This choice of material makes the watch surprisingly light and comfortable on the wrist despite its robust dimensions – approximately 30% lighter than the experimental steel prototype. The intense satin finish lends the model a technical and matte aesthetic that is visually distinct from traditional polished watches.

Engineering for the depths: 11,000 meters

Designed to withstand the extreme pressure of the deep sea, this model is waterproof to an incredible depth of 11,000 meters. At the heart of this resilience is the patented Ringlock system, which uses a nitrogen-alloyed steel ring to absorb the pressure on the 9.5 mm thick sapphire crystal. Additionally, the helium escape valve ensures that excess gas can safely escape during decompression without damaging the case.

Impressive presence and caliber 3230

With a diameter of 50 mm, this is the largest commercially available watch in Rolex history, ensuring maximum legibility thanks to the long-lasting blue luminescence of the Chromalight display. This giant is powered by the in-house calibre 3230, equipped with the Chronergy escapement and blue Parachrom hairspring to offer exceptional precision and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
